Skimpy Offering
A fairly lightweight take on a historically interesting subject. Author misses opportunity to elaborate on significant transition aircraft and x-planes at the genesis of the heavy jet era.

An Outstanding Addition to any Aerospace Library!
This is just an outstanding aerospace history work--deep in detail and very broad in the subject matter. Richly illustrated, with many, many previously undetailed examples of aircraft, during one of the most innovative periods in aviation history. Will make a fine addition to any aerospace history library--and sure to have a place on the hobby shelf (especially for any kit-bashing modelers wanting to build something out of the ordinary!) I found the section on Northrop flying wing designs *after* the B-49 especially intriguing (even had pride of position on the dust jacket). Well worth the price!
