Funny looking, but safe.
Daughter didn't intially want it on her head, but after a while got used to it. It works. Saved her a few dozen bruises already, I'm sure. The only improvement I would suggest, would be a velcro neck strap that goes under her chin and comes up high on the side, instead of having the two strings that tie like a shoelace under her neck, like it has. The strings leave a mark on our toddler's neck and she often plays with the strings because they hang down, and eventually unties them half the time.

Pretty but some bumps during assembly.
Instruction manual has NO WORDS. Only diagrams that don't indicate top or bottom of pieces. No indication that the nuts and washers pictured in the manual are ALREADY attached to the axles. Looked everywhere for them through gobs of plastic wrapper. Very frustrating. Then, the Steering Column on my unit had a pivotal welded washer welded at the wrong place on the column, so the screw hole didn't reach the steering wheel as pictured in the manual. I had to remove the weld myself and place it in the right place. I couldn't return the product at this juncture, because my daughter was sitting there waiting for me to finish it. I couldn't say, "Sorry sweetie. I have to take it back." No father can utter those words! That said, it is VERY pretty! My daughter didn't want to get out of it. We have to park it inside the house to get my daughter to come back in, and she just sits in it and watches tv and plays in it and climbs all over it, and she adores it! Assembly should be a piece of cake, except for poor manual and faulty steering washer.
