Great little base station
I have a couple of Motorola CM300 mobile radios and really like them. This takes one of those radios and pairs it up with a bolted on power supply and a desk mic to make a handy little base station.

Motorola Speaker? What not to like?
I have been using and listening to two-way radios, including police, business, CB and Ham bands for decades. In my opinion Motorola speakers provide some of the best, most understandable sounds that make listening to radio calls for hours at a time a pleasure, rather than a pain.
I have 6 two-way radios in my home and my car, none of them made by Motorola, but ALL with Motorola speakers plugged into the external speaker ports. They all sound much, much better now than they did with the stock, built in speakers.
