Definitely Not Barbasol
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I made the swap to a DE safety Razor just over 7 months ago, from a MACH3 and Barbasol. The change is definitely an investment, but well worth it. The local The Art of Shaving (TAoS) store was my source of info and my initial set-up; Merkur razor, brush, stand and the TAoS starter kit, which included the Unscented Shaving Cream. I don't like scented products; messes with my sinuses. The entire starter package; pre-shave oil, shaving cream and after-shave balm, have worked great. There is no over-bearing scent and I have had no skin irritation or complaint about this product or the product line in general. The TAoS products are not the least expensive (retailing around $25 each) but are well worth it. Shop around. You'll spend a few bucks initially to convert to a DE Safety Razor but, in the long run, you'll save on blade cost, swap blades more frequently and get a better shave and shaving experience. Before DE shaving was just something I had to do, no style, finesse or enjoyment; just a task. Since DE shaving I realize what I've been missing, the "ART" of shaving, and actually look forward to it. I haven't tried any other product line, but I thoroughly like TAoS products and, at least at this point, see no reason to; if it aint broke......

Better alternative to standard wax candles
We have always used votive scented wax candles around our house, in the kitchen and bathrooms. A couple years ago I discovered all-natural beeswax candles and we have used them since. Beeswax candles burn cleaner and have a natural honey smell to them that's not overpowering. They seem to do a much better job at Odor Control.

Well worth it
I've been using a double edge razor for almost three years now and have used The Art of Shaving products from the start. The Pre Shave Oil is a must.
