My old burn pot was 20 years old. As is the stove. There was a complete hole thru the old pot. The pot cast no longer had a bottom to it. So I temporarily rigged under the old pot, two steel can openers. To deflect the pellets from directly burning on the stove floor. It worked, but your looking for problems, that would not normally occur. The new burn pot is incredible! Pellets burn exactly as they are meant to burn. Flame burns up and stove is incredibly hot! Thanks!
