Powerful and precise

Robust and reliable
This reel is excellent work horse for trolling salmon. Has sufficient line capasity (over 300 m @ 0,50mm) and super smooth brake. Brake adjustment is very accurate and slow enough with the star wheel. Gear ratio is also just right for this type of use. (3,6:1) Because of this gear ratio, I like this model better than smaller ones. But the most respected feature of this reel is the reliability. I have had these reels in use for over two decades now and NEVER experienced a problem due to Penn 330 gti.

The VHF- radio of them all.
I just bought a Garmin VHF 300 ais radio. I have earlier bought a 300i ais radio and there are some differencies between these two. 300 ais gives you an opportunity to select the area where you are using this radio. This is eliminated in the 300i version. In both radios you can select which private channels you are using. For example between scandinavic leisure channels (L1-L3) or fishing channels (F1-F3). There are allso some other private channels to choose from. Overall I personally highly recommend this 300 ais version that is allso DSC D-class radio. It is money well spent for your safety.
