Allows me to view TV through Xbox One using my cable box.
This splitter works great for people who want to use one guide from Xbox One. Or to view the TV without having to power on the Xbox One to do so.
In my home theater setup my Xbox One goes into one of my HDMI inputs, and my cable box in another. With this splitter I can get a 4K image from my cable box with surround sound either directly into my 4K capable home theater receiver or through my Xbox One. That way I do not need to have my Xbox powered on when all I want to do is watch TV.
