Item arrived as described without any damage due to double boxing/bubble-wrapping. Also, excellent communications with the seller. The issue is that the shipping cost was over estimated, and the seller wants to reimburse me for the difference between the estimated and actual costs, however he can't due to eBay policies and/or procedures. eBay should allow and make it easy for sellers, who want to refund some money to a buyer, to do so to the same payment method used for the transaction.

Yaesu FT-301 Transceiver PROJECT

Fun radio to operate and looks good too. Compact by yesterdays standards.

Once you find the 301 guy and down load the fixes this is a great radio! I run the QRP version with transverters. 50, 144 and 222.1 mhz. It's easy to add 17mtrs. This radio does require basic ham skills. If your an appliance operator it might not be for you. The upgrades arn't to hard and there is help and parts available. The receiver in this is as good as any modern radio because it has a preselector and not a general coverage receiver. New displays and an FLL are available in kit from Switzerland and sold as completed kits here in the US. I run one 160-10mtrs. As well as for VHF.
