Bargain!

A great CPU at this pricepoint
This 4-core, 4-thread CPU will overclock to around 4GHz without much effort (and without much extra voltage or extra cooling).
I was running mine at 3.9GHz with the stock Stealth cooler and it was a great step up from my previous AMD Phenom 2 955 (@3.7GHz).
Overall this is a good modern 4-core CPU and per core it will run as fast, or faster than the bigger brothers in the Ryzen range. The caveat is that when buying secondhand, you can get an R5 1600X (6-core, 12-thread) for only a little more and that will stomp all over this in certain applications that can use more than the 4 threads (eg. video encoding).
If your budget will only run to this CPU then my advice would be to buy it and use it as a placeholder until you can afford an R5 or R7 CPU. Then if you want more performance you will be able to upgrade just the CPU, as everything else will already be in place.
Ryzen's respond well to increased RAM speed, so pair this with the fastest that you can afford (and overclock the RAM too if you can).

Still a very nice camera
4 von 4 finden das hilfreich A friend of mine had one of these from new (cost over £300) and the photos and camera had always been much admired, so when I got the chance to pick up one at a bargain price I was very pleased. This was a top of the range compact camera and so you get a classy metal body, Li-ion battery and a decent Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 3x zoom lens.
4 mega pixel may not sound much today, but with the decent lens and electronics it punches above its weight compared to a lot of modern cameras that look better on paper. The 1.8" LCD is also small compared to current cameras, but I've not found it much of an issue - no camera LCD is ever going to show you any real detail.
Usability is very good - this is not one of those cameras where you need to look at the manual every time you want to change the flash option! All the menus are clear, obvious and easy to navigate.
The LS443 also has a threaded adapter ring, so you can fit additional lenses and filters (I have an additional x2 lens to give a total of 6x optical zoom).
The icing is that it also comes with a smart USB camera dock for computer connectivity and this also acts as battery charger, so no fiddling about with cables - just drop the camera on the dock and hit the upload button.
I was going to knock the rating down to "good", because the LS443 is obviously no longer leading the pack in terms of features. But then I thought of the price I paid on ebay (barely enough to buy a toy camera) and realised that at the current s/h price point it is very likely to outclass anything else available and so rates a top score.
Summary:
A high quality camera for everyday indoor and outdoor snaps. Takes notably good photos of blue skies and seas, with deep saturated colours. The slightly chunky weight is the trade-off for a very solid and non-plasticky body. Although there are of course better cameras available new, they will also cost considerably more and even a decent mid-range camera will not have the same quality feel to it.
