Like the original.
Each plastic label tape has it's own plastic wrap. Tried one today and it works like the original.

A small price to pay for quality and superbly manufactured heaphones
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich The only way to listen to this headphone in its sonic glory is to connect it to an amp or receiver with a bass boost or some sort of bass management aside from your normal bass and treble attenuators. The M50's frequency is flat. You won't get a whole lot of bass by itself. Emphasis on the mids and highs are its strong points. In my set up, I have a computer with my music in it, a headphone amp which I use as an intermediary device bet. my laptop and receiver and finally an old 80 watt rms Sony STR-DE405 stereo/pro-logic receiver set on stereo mode with a bass boost button. The headphone amp improves the sound of the headphones by itself but since it does not have a bass feature in it, bass still not as good.I came out of it using its audio out to the audio selector device, then to the audio in (cd, tape, video or aux. in) into the receiver. I use the audio selector to switch from the from the Sony receiver which my M50's is plugged in to and the Surround Sound set up I have. I don't have to be unplugging the headphones to the surround sound receivers' jack saving its' life expectancy. I have three ways to adjust the volume control: a) computer b)headphone amp and c) receiver. Three ways to adjust the bass, mids and treble: a) computers' equalizer, receiver bass & treble attenuators and the receivers bass boost button. The M50's bass is not simulated such as the Skullcandy headphones or boomy similar to a ported box speaker but rather a closed speaker box (air suspension). Mid bass is solid and it could go a lot lower with the bass boosted without being distorted. This headphone was designed to be flat sonically so we can equalize its frequencies to our liking. The bass, mids and the highs are so precise with my set up. I spent $160 for the headphone amp, $24 for the audio selector switch and a few cables. If you have an extra receiver, good. You can get away without the headphone amp and the audio selector switch. I use the headphone amp because it acts like a fixed equalizer with a volume control. It improves the tone of the headphones by not much and the receiver. Receivers with a bass boost are rare these days. I have three headphones and the only ones I listen to is, the M50's (for hours at a time).

Analog is irreplaceable
I don't like Digital tone control format for years. Receiver's tone controls have to be set from surround to stereo mode to set bass and treble. Too slow for my taste. A preamp before the receiver bypasses that bad design. I am glad I discovered OSD brand audio equipment. Combined with my new OSD Nero 5 channel 150/250 watt p/channel amp, my audio equipment has dramatically improved in sound. OSD is affordable but what comes out of it is exceptional. I like to turn the knobs quickly without going through the motions of pressing other buttons to get a result, such as setting tone controls That is when Analog comes into play. I am happy with the purchase of both preamp and amp from OSD. I think one should give OSD brand some serious consideration.
