Interesting and revealing
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Interesting profile on the natural successor to Edgar Allan Poe and the creative template to authors such as Stephen King. It not only shows the development of HPL as an author but also as a human being. The insights of an interesting cross-section of authors and film makers flesh out HPL's contribution to the horror genre. While the documentary itself was made with a modest budget, I couldn't help feeling that not only a bigger budget would have been wasted but it may have even spoilt it to some degree.

Graet stuff, but......
While Manring's virtuosity is beyond reproach, he seems to be rather out of place in this largely heavy-metal album. His later works reflect a more fitting musical setting for his style of play. The best tracks on this work are his solo tracks.

Great disc, great music, great guitarist - who could ask for more?
Any fan of guitar music, country or otherwise, would be proud to own this album. This man's technique is truly worthy of note. If you want to sample his talent in a more contemporary style of music, I would recommend you listen to him in a band called Tunnels.
