Great Camera still takes better picts than current 14 mp cameras
I purchased my Nikon COOLPIX 8.0 camera as my very first digital camera. I was told when they got to 8.0MP that would be equal to 35mm boy that is a understatement! I have used this camera to blow up pictures to 16 by 20 inch and beyond. With NO blurring. One is a shot of my dog running at me full speed at the beach. The built in lenses are just amazing. Newer 14 mp cameras that are under $250 still are no where near as good as this thing. This camera was sold originally as one small step down from the SLR. I paid $1300 for a package which included a ton of stuff from mail order camera shop.
I really love its big flash as I use it all the time, my secret to professional looking pictures is fill flash. Also I used to be a photographer.
I do have some complaints. It will not take pictures rapidly, especially if you are trying to use a flash. It says .9 pics per second or 2.2 pics per second. The bad news is that the only way to get to too that 2.2 pics per second is if you don't use the flash and set the internal memory to be used. Except I won't do that because when shooting children and dogs moving your need for a flash will not wait for you to reprogram the damn camera for 5 min.
The fact that a camera this old that I have shot 2000 shots through, is still even relevant is a testament to how much care they put into the build. I think Nikon was still in the mind set of build it to last because we are Nikon the BEST.
Glad I did. Would seriously think about buying again.
Make sure you buy enough CF memory and batteries!

The only reason I did not give phone a Excellent rating is that the phone really needs a instruction book.Used buyers beware. I normally don't need one for anything. Also if phone is used and full of other people's email and photos you will have to get the Master key lock code for the phone 12345, 123456 or 00000, or 000000 should do it. The first 12345 worked great on my Nokia 6126.
Great things the phone does is it has very big and good keys. I have arthritis in my hands and I need big keys, this phone is a god send.
I can't believe that this phone comes with a camera,mp3 player and bluetooth . very light and thin.
