Bite this!
Save a bundle compared with your dentist building you a custom bite block. It's a bit tricky to put into boiling water - leave it in too long and it becomes a black plastic blob. That said, it's very comfortable to wear and is much cheaper than buying new teeth after chipping something during sleep or sports. I use mine every single night and have two new ones still in the wrapper as spares.

Knives are as important as pots and pans. Good knives are not cheap.
Handy tool- purchased on recommendation of professional meat-cutter. A close friend also has this exact knife and it's his 'go-to' for slicing up tri-tip roasts. I use it for that purpose as well. I liked it well enough I went ahead and bought the Victorinox 8-piece Butcher Block countertop knife set. You need to sharpen these knives after every use for best results. The 8 piece set included the sharpening tool.
