I should be in this business...
It's a (big) thimble-shaped piece of plastic, a magnet, and a spring for about 20 bucks, for what purpose? To prop open a washer door a 1/2-inch or so. You could accomplish the same with a stick.
But if you want a cutesy little spring-loaded magnet widget tucked in at the bottom of your washer door, go ahead and spend the 20 bucks: it will do the job.
