Not Grover Quality, wobbly posts, buttons ok

My expectations were correctly low on this purchase. I knew these were not Grover, but I was curious if the quality was better than the no-name tuners. Nope. There is lots of play in the posts so I’m not even going to use the tuners. But the buttons are decent and I’ll probably use the buttons as replacements on other tuners for a “Grover” look.

These are actually 18:1 ratio - good value.

These are not Grovers but at a glance you can’t tell. The Buttons are the same size as large button Grovers. They have a nice 18:1 gear ratio. I wouldn’t put these in a higher end guitar because of the play in the posts but these are a HUGE upgrade over the stock Epi 3 x3 tuners... and yes they hold tune!

Great Value in the Toaster Bucker

Arrived in 5 days. I just wanted a unique look for one of my oddball scrap wood guitar builds. I used only used the neck pickup and with my Series/North/ Parallel switch/500K pots/Orange drop cap/ there was plenty of tonal possibilities. The clarity was Very good, but with 500K pots I needed to roll off the treble a bit. I’ll probably experiment with 250k pots. I’m using a little 15watt tube amp. I would recommend just going with Series/Parallel wiring. The pickups shipped with wiring schematics. GM is great answering questions, too.
