This Atheist's second favorite Jesus film
Yeshua (played by Ewan McGregor) is fasting in the desert outside of Jerusalem where he occasionally encounters Satan (also played by McGregor) whilst trying to get God to speak to him. One day Yeshua comes across a family homestead and after getting acquainted is challenged by Satan to mend the broken family in a way that's amiable to all of them. Yeshua takes up the challenge and spends most of the film trying to do just that. "Last Days in the Desert" is an enjoyable and rather unusual film. Jesus tries in a number of understated ways to help a frustrated father, a son filled with wanderlust, and a dying mother find what they want. Intermittently, Jesus speaks with Satan who all the while tries to lead Jesus astray, even though Satan shows glimpses of humanity throughout the film. While Last Days isn't the masterwork that "The Last Temptation of Christ" is, it's easily my second favorite Jesus film. Most of that boils down to the compassionate and insightful version of Jesus, called Yeshua in this film, that seems genuinely invested in the happiness and well-being of a family that he barely knows. I don't know if this film will go down in the history books but it's certainly better than the evangelical tripe that is "Son of God" or the frankly disturbing "The Passion of the Christ".

Everything works great except controller select button but controller was cheap and easy to replace
