A great phone with reasonable hardware to handle available Android software
This is the older version HTC Mytouch 3G without 3.5mm headphone jack, i.e model 32B original. Using tools available in market, both Radio and SPL firmware can be updated so that the latest Ginger Yoshi 1.2 (Android 2.3.4 ROM, as of today 06/19/2011) can be installed. It has integrated WiFi and GPS. Once the phone is rooted, WiFi can be used without a data plan. All those internet related functions can be done thru WiFi rather than phone plan. This phone has a lot of setting choices to choose from. If you just want a simple phone to make calls, those setting selections may be considered too much or too technical. For those who want to tailor the software and hardware settings to suit their needs, it is a fun phone.
