Likes - Great pictures, ease of use, many features and can use regular AA batteries.
Dislikes - Size
Why I purchased it - It was exactly what I was looking for and at a great price. Lots of extras and included the manual.

Bought as a replacement. Works great with purple button unit.
Works as advertised. The one button close is the only way to go with these remotes.

Perfect off road and mediocore for road mapping
This is my 4th Garmin and it is a breeze to use. Much faster to lock on to the satellites. Can be used as a road mapping GPS but limited for that purpose. If one has never used a good mapping GPS they would be ok with the 60CSx. Dislikes are screen brightness. Too dark. The fact that once it has locked onto the satellites it does not go to the mapping page. My Garmin V does this. So does the 2610. Very short notice of turns while mapping. Sometimes I am right at the intersection before it lets me know to turn. Both the 2610 and 60CSx are using City Nav. 8.0 so it's not the software. I do like the x part which is the Micro SD. I have 3 cards now 2g, 1g, and the supplied 64m. I have the entire US on the 2g. I have a lot of the TOPO USA 2008 loaded on the 1g. I keep both in the GPS. One inserted and the other laying on top so I can swap them. The batteries hold the loose one in place just fine.
Lastly I would like to share my way of supplying external power in the car to this device. Garmin expects one to use the round port for power. I use a cigarette lighter plug with a USB port on the end. I just plug my USB cable
into both and it works just fine. I got the lighter plug with a palm zire PDA.
Never used it for the PDA but it works great for the 60CSx.
I must say that Garmin is a wonderful company, I know they can be funny about allowing a certain number of GPS's to work on your purchased copy of software. It's two for City Nav. but they do support their products well. I have enjoyed watching this company grow over the years. Pure capitalism at it's best and more power to them. Good Product and Good Company. Must be managed well.
