BlaineRay readers like ‘Patricia va a California’ really work.
‘Patricia va a California’ and other books in this series by Blaine Ray are very useful learning tools for secondary school students (and others) learning Spanish, and especially through the method called TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading & Storytelling). It is refreshing to be able to obtain copies of these small readers at discount prices through ebay.

Classic sci-fi, plot & writing totally hold your attention
Dune is well-known as a classic of science fiction; I am still reading it, enjoying the story, reading slowly. I like the underlying philosophical/spiritual underpinnings of the story. The characters are well-drawn and contrast with one another.
