Ridiculously hard to setup and balance - I gave up
There is no instruction manual and you can't get one from the manufacturer. It's supposed to be difficult to set up at first, but easy once it is set up. Setting it up, however, is VERY VERY VERY difficult with no explanation of the functions of all of the various moving parts and weights. I bought a "Balance Steadicam Mini" for $8.96 and it works great.
