Tamron SP 35mm f1.8 VC lens for Nikon - mint condition - f/1.8 35/1.8

Beats my Canon 35mm f1.4 L

I'm using the Tamron 35mm on my Nikon D800e but compared the sharpness to the Canon 35mm f1.4 L mark I on a Sony A7r body. At f2 for both, the Tamron was better. At f2.8, they're very similar. I decided to live without f1.4 because this aperture is impractical when photographing couples at events or weddings. The image stabilization is more useful.

Good quality and value.

I use this to adapt EL Nikkor enlarging lenses to M42 mount. Both threaded sides fit like a glove but as you would expect, it can get stuck to either the lens or the M42 mount if tightened too much.

Fast and sharp!

Just so you know biases, I love fast aperture lenses and have owned several for multiple camera systems, including Canon, Nikon, Leica (Voigtlander), Panasonic and Sony. This 45/1.2 completes my set of Olympus f/1.2 PRO lenses and so far I'm quite pleased with the wide open performance. Very good resolution and none of the residual spherical aberration that often plagues fast lenses. Fast AF and beautiful finish like it's sisters 17/1.2 and 25/1.2. I consider all 3 to be suitable for portrait and street photography...for that matter any kind of photography. Hope the attached photo isn't dithered by eBay and does the lens justice. The original photo is bitingly sharp.
