Van Gogh's taste in Japanese Prints
Japanese prints are always awesome, but to see the ones that influenced Vincent Van Gogh hike them up a level to just really spectacular. The book does a good job of giving comparisons, and showing his work relative to the prints. The reproductions are really well-done, the color excellent. An all around great buy.

Magnificent! Incomparable! Thorough! Also very funny!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich What a wonderful book! Dan Reeder has invented a new and better way to do papier mache that makes so much more sense, and is easier than the traditional muckymuck that won't dry or is weak, etc. I bought his book because I watched a video he had on Youtube that shows how he constructs his monsters. I am a high school art teacher, and was inspired to have ALL my classes make monsters and dragons. I am now a crazy high school art teacher!! No, seriously, what a wonderful experience my students are having, and are learning and exhibiting patience, seem to have no need for instant gratification, and much more. I'm so grateful to Dan Reeder for sharing his knowledge with the rest of us monster-makers!! If you have any interest at all in creating, or having your children create dragons, monsters, or other ugly and wonderful 3D creatures, you should buy this book!!! He is also very, very funny. I read it to them, and they listen, and use it as a reference. Congratulations to you, Dan Reeder. You have converted over 100 teenagers into focused, careful artists. Magic!!
