Kept as a virtual prisoner in Iran by her Iranian husband and his family, when offered the chance to escape, refuses unless she can take her daughter as well, making the escape far more dangerous. Sally Field is fabulous as Betty Mahmoody!

For the love of “Simon”
There is a donkey near my house, though not officially mine, he’s mine! I received the book yesterday and have already read almost half of it! I highly recommend it! You will surely love donkeys after you read it, and if you don’t, you should!
