Effective replacement battery
The item is slightly shorter than the original, but fits well and has the same capacity. It has proven itself in operation now.

Empowering for the non-expert user

The automatic features allow experimentation with good screen detail that help the user understand what settings suit what environment. I found the telescopic control ring around the shutter button a bit fiddly to use but manageable with practice. The camera is nicely balanced when held in the correct grip, the telescopic control operates smoothly and the auto focus effective, My sister-in-law was so taken with it when I was initially experimenting that she went out and bought one herself. My only concern is that there are a lot of options to learn to drive aspects of the camera manually. That is a good thing though and I am looking forward to it.
