Good read for bibliophiles and lovers of literature
A fascinating book to read. The only drawback for me was my growing resentment towards Folger for being such a cheap son of a b**** when it came to rewarding the people that found the books for him, fostered the relationships with the owners of the books that Folger often strained, and worked in some cases for years to get him the book he coveted and obsessed over. That was a side of him that really ticked me off and made me feel as if he did not deserve to get some of the books he acquired. He comes of as extremely driven, but also cheap and greedy. Besides for wanting to punch him in the face on occasion, it was a pretty interesting book and one I am glad I added to my collection.
