Venator-Class Republic Cruiser
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This was a great build, the one I got was used and missing some pieces, nothing that couldn't be sourced elsewhere, but even without it it looks great. It is very well balanced, well detailed, and very sturdy for an older generation model, but my biggest problem(s) with it is that the internal gun that slides in and out on rails gets stuck fairly easily. I wouldn't be so upset about this if the play space in the front used the full space, otherwise you have the bridge, the sliding gun emplacement and Palpatine's personal office with enough space to sit him and his two guards before it gets crowded. I like the office regardless, with the wall decorations, the fancy chair and the desk, but it eats up so much space. If you're a dork like I am, there's not much to play around with/in the office area and the insides will be mostly static, but it makes a fantastic (capital) battleship for your republic fighters to defend with enough to play with that it can fend off attackers as well.

Redempt This!
The Redemptor Dreadnought is an awesome looking model once assembled and can do a couple of neat poses without trimming the built in tabs to increase its range of motion. I had some difficulty with misfits and gluing, but I am more inclined to blame my newness in Warhammer for how many times my use of glue ruined pegs or made fits frustrating.
My advice, take your time. Get some nail polish remover for your fingers, a nice fine grit sandpaper, and a file. This might take some hours, so I suggest having something on in the background you can look up and watch whenever the pieces won't fit or need time to dry before the next step. Finally, I used toothpicks to get glue around places where the parts are supposed to move, like around elbows, and hinges. Do not rely on your glue's dispenser unless you have god tier control.I made a serious number of mistakes on the lower door to the casket and I'm pretty much doomed to glue it straight on because the pegs are caked in glue and thus distorted.
That said, its a nice model. It towers over the Primaris and unleashes the dakka and because of the way its pegs work you *could* get away with wedge fitting some of your weapon options. I'm still going to magnetize because *eventually* the fitting will loosen, but its a rather cozy fit upon assembly. The only trouble is if you don't want the Icarus pod launcher or want to switch out the chest mounted bolters/launchers, you'll have to find a fitting to close up the hole on the top/magnetize the options
