Shure M58s - Excellent Microphone for the Money
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich After a 30 year hiatus, 3 years ago I resumed playing live music with old friend, gigging at local bars and gatherings. During my absence, audio technology has made tremendous leaps and where we used to have to lug,thousands of pound to outfit our band, we can now accomplish the same amplification with tight, light and powerful gear. For someone who always abhorred loading out after a gig, this is miraculous.
Forty years ago, I used a Shure SM58s. It cost (then) about $30 and it had a clean, vibrant sound, with wonderful tone response and little ambient noise. It weighed just over a pound and felt good in your hand when not on the mic stand. Better yet, with it's wire mesh head and solid metal construction, it was practically indestructible as well as being excellent for live performance or recording. This is still a terrific microphone for around $100.00.
