I started building puppets when I saw The Muppet Movie in the theater (1979), and performed shows for school and my church Halloween carnivals. When I saw Roger Rabbit in the theater in 1988, that signaled the beginning of my academic career in animation. I spent the next 30+ years producing animated ads for TV, and teaching animation at college campuses in the Southeast. Besides animation and puppetry, I have a lifelong appreciation for classic movie monsters like Kong, Godzilla, and pop culture entrepreneurs like Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman), Jim Varney (Hey Vern! It's Ernest), Shari Lewis (Lambchop), Cassandra Peterson (Elvira), and Sid and Marty Krofft (HR Pufnstuf, Land of the Lost.)

Great mini-Sandworm from Beetlejuice 2! ...
Great mini-Sandworm from Beetlejuice 2! Just the right size for a crowded desktop like mine, and surprisingly detailed for the size, down to the teeth, tongue and freckles on the snout of extending Head #2. Highly recommended for Beetlejuice fans!
