Good Until It Blew UP
2 von 3 finden das hilfreich I am a have been an owner of previously purchased new AudioSource products including both an Amp-One and an AMP-100 and I have enjoyed many hours of trouble free operation from these amplifiers.
However, this particular AMP-100 amplifier lasted for 3 days and then BLEW UP! The fuse that was designed to protect the amplifier failed, but not in time to protect the amplifier, resulting in instant catastrophic damage to a circuit board capacitor and a puff of smoke! I would have never guessed that a modern amplifier circuit would be capable of filling a room full of smoke "smelling of ozone."
The fact is that the product failed and without a warranty it is an apparent loss; I guess that you could say that I have BAD LUCK too. :)
