Does the Job for Me
I had to cut the cable half to do what I wanted to do with it. It is a widely available commodity item that goes with a specific brand of R/C transmitter. It is made by the OEM of that transmitter (Futaba) so I had no doubt it would fit my Futaba transmitter. The cut end of the cable I spliced a DIN style Futaba trainer cable to connect a newer to older Futaba transmitter. Works fine, all good.

Replaced (12) F72T12 with (6) of these..
Overall, quite satisfied. I admit, was down to maybe 5 or 6 of the old ones working in my '70s/80's kitchen, so (6) of these in the same space is bright! Would have preferred a more "warm white" but not a lot of choices in the 6' size. These are more directional than the old fluorescent tubes so it doesn't have the same "glowing ceiling" effect, more like glowing stripes :-) . Bypassing the ballasts, no problem most were probably bad anyway; adding the costs of new tubes and new ballasts is comparable to the price paid for these. Going from 720 watts to 180 will definitely save the rest of the different. Overall a satisfying project.

Works great, nice to have easy open trunk!
Was a little harder to install than I expected. The Hood Struts, piece of cake. These trunk ones required some disassembly of the trunk lining and folding down the rear seats to gain access to the forward mount. Worth it though, now the trunk lifts with a finger instead of a gripping with sure hand.
