HP Motherboard Replacement
I replaced my failed HP Pavilion motherboard with this unit and was able to restore / recover my HP VISTA PC. Even though the PC was 7 years old I wanted to keep using it since it provides a FireWire interface which I need to interface to studio recording equipment (i.e., digital mixers) and several of my applications will not run under the newer Windows operating systems.
I did experience the HP-specific Code Purple Error but that was easily fixed via an Internet provided solution. Of course, each of my applications had to be reinstalled after recovery..
