Nice platform with a “twist”
This platform came nicely packaged. The included directions booklet was clear and simple to follow. Connections were easy to make. The only issue I confronted was that it would not operate when first hooked up. So, following the directions, I disassembled the unit to hopefully adjust the spring tension. Upon closer examination, I found a clear twist tie around the moveable bench which was preventing it from moving. It blended right in with the color scheme and I missed it. Once I cut that off, everything worked perfectly. Maybe if they had put a bright colored twist tie on there I wouldn’t have missed it. After that episode, I was very pleased with its operation and look forward to using it on my train layout.

Nice addition to my layout
I generally model the Pennsylvania Railroad on my layout, but I also have a Maine Central 44 Tonner engine that my model railroad club did about five years ago. So I wanted a MEC caboose to go with it. This unit is highly detailed and looks great bringing up the rear of the consist. The interior lighting adds to the realism as well. It tracks fine through switches has caused no derailments. I really like this car and highly recommend it.

Nice engine at a reasonable price
This is the second Williams engine I have purchased. It is well detailed, including pantographs, and looks sharp. It runs very well on my Lionel Super O track and switches. For an engine with this many trucks to never (yet) derail to me is amazing. The only concern I would mention is, although the box and the included instructions state that this model has a horn and bell, I have not been able to get them to work. I have only tried it with an MTH Z-4000 transformer and it doesn’t work. I still need to try it with a Lionel ZW transformer. Other than that issue, I am very pleased with this engine.
