I don't get it but my Daughter LOVES this!!
It is of decent quality and it is one of our daughter's favourite things. She was 17 when we gave it to her. She loves Pinhead and Hellraiser so naturally this was a great gift idea.

Been using this calendar forever! It's our lives day by day, it's history.
I have been using this calendar for as many years as I can remember, using it for the obvious appointments, vacations, birthday reminders, activities for the kids etc. But I also use it to write down when stuff happened, like the first awards in school and sports, first steps, first words and what words, people passing people being born with some details. Car accidents, surgery and results, life affecting events that wouldn't normally be remembered. The good and the bad. Medical results, places we've been and what we did, first dates and driving test results, college and weddings and anything that happens day to day. People tend to remember the big things but not the small.
These calendars have a lot of room for each day to keep track of the family activities and to capture the smallest of memories that would otherwise be forgotten. A back panel envelope type pocket to hold slips of papers. Use the spots on the back page to track important phone numbers and transfer these each calendar. I usually swap the calendar out at the end of October or November to the new one and spend an hour transferring recurring dates such as birthdays, anniversaries and things I want to remember for the next year.
They give lots of stickers to use and I am 50/50 on liking and using them. I use the birthday and anniversary ones for sure but not really any of the rest. But I didn't buy the calendar for stickers.
I bought the calendar off of Ebay for this first time, usually buying through the creator's website, but they are getting pricy with the shipping and so I went through Ebay.
Stack the calendars away and pull them out once in a while to have a walk down memory lane, but don't forget to annotate your curent calendar with the memories now so they become part of your history.

This book changed my life, for the better!!!
Long and short of it. I've battled weight my whole life, my mother says we are "big boned". I have tried virtually everything including two weight loss surgeries, one that failed and had to be revised but still failed, and the second nearly killed me (don't go to Belgium for weight loss surgery!!).
Short of injecting myself with the urine of pregnant women (gross but yes it is a thing!, my mother tried it to no avail) I have tried everything.
Then I heard about this book. I was a child of the eighties where fat was the big evil, but the true diet devil is sugar. It comes in a zillion forms and is in almost everything you can buy in a can or package. I read this book and started looking long and hard at food labels and the sugar grams in foods I was eating.
Women should have no more then 6-9 tsps a day of sugar...which translates to 24-36 grams of sugar. Yikes! It doesn't take long to meet or exceed that. But it is easy math and not rocket science.
This book helps you navigate around the sugars, good ones and the bad. It's a pure educational life altering event. It lays it out in simple understanding and logic. I wish I had connected the dots on weight-sugar before. And yes I was on a sugar restricted diet once but I really had no idea where the sugar was hiding. I thought I was doing everything right but I was wrong.
I only watch my sugars now, I don't count calories or watch fat or carbs. Just the sugars. Juice is a huggge problem as is obviously regular sodas etc. Real fruit doesn't count against you but don't go crazy of course.
I was a pudgy child and heavy adult, being that I battled through one diet or another I ranged from 170-230lbs throughout my adulthood. Now I sit at a comfortable 125lbs, I wear size 5-7 clothes and I feel normal. It's been three and a half years of normal. I blend into the crowd finally.
This is not a diet even though it is titled as such. It is a lifestyle and eating change. It isn't easy either and don't kid yourself if you think it is. I don't drink soda, I don't eat candy and I truly miss red licorce for certain. But I like being normal sized more.
That is just my opinion. You have to work at anything worthwhile. Good luck!
