Excellent insight in the life of a great preacher.
I have always enjoyed reading books and sermons by G. Campbell Morgan, and have learned much through the ministry in which he was involved during the last century. "In The Shadow of Grace, " which was written by three of Dr. Morgan's grandsons, gives a rare insight into his life and legacy. As a pastor myself, I was deeply challenged by reading this tremendous book, and as a matter of fact, I have read it multiple times, reaping the benefits of learning about a great man of God. I highly recommend this book, especially to preachers who have a desire to serve God more fully in the pastoral ministry.

A Closer Look at a Hero
I have read many works on the life and exploits of Col. David Crockett of Tennessee, but none brought me into knowledge of the man's way of thinking as did this timely book. One quickly observes that Crockett was truly a man whose interest was in serving his country by serving the common man. The author has done an excellent job of revealing why Crockett was so popular in his own era, as well as why he is still popular today.

The best way to compare Scripture with Scripture.
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I have used the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge for almost thirty years. It is an excellent tool that helps one to compare spiritual things with spiritual things by cross references. The book is advertised as being written by R. A. Torrey, but actually he had nothing to do with the book other than endorsing it. I recommend this reference tool to the serious and devout student of the Bible. It is a must for preachers and pastors.
