Good little pump for the money although I will admit the sponge filter is inadequate for any ponds this is ideally suited up to 150-200 litres after that I would be placing in another sponge filter system of superior quality. i.e Eheim , Fluval ect which are the market leaders in submersible pump options, Aqua-pro is aimed at the entry level into the market therefore the filters are always substandard at best fine for a Hydroponic system but I would definitely spend the extra if the application was for pond use, as the filters are inadequate to sustain a clean eco-system within a pond environment
Like I said good little pump does the job & is easy on the hip pocket to boot, I bought this one as a back-up to my existing pump in case of failure
