Betrayal
I am very familiar with the film Betrayal and was excited about the prospect of seeing it again after so many years. Unfortunately when I received the VHS copy which was said to be in good condition---the outside was alright but when I went to play the tape I found it to be faulty and it didn't play without long stretches of unwatchable tape. Maybe someday the producers will get smart and release it on DVD. It is a brilliant film in which the play was written by Harold Pinter. It stars Ben Kingsley, Jeremy Irons and Patricia Hodge. The story is told backwards. The acting is brilliant. If you are not familiar with Patricia Hodge, she did Rumpole of the Bailey, a wonderful legal British series. I bought this film b/c I love it.

Lifesaver Laptop
The motherboard fried on my old laptop and I was panicking. Not only was I worried about losing years of work (was able to get it retrieved - whew!), but also facing the prospect of getting a new PC. My friend has a Spectre 360 and loves it. Light, fast. excellent. I knew this was the way I wanted to go. The affordable price of a refurbished laptop was an added bonus.
I've had many an HP PC over the years. The Spectre 360 is the best. Great computer.

Just what I was looking for
When my favorite chef's knife gave up the ghost I looked to replace it. This set was just perfect. Fine steel, good feel in my hand, and didn't break the bank.
