Getting a steal on a Canon EF L lens!
It is a very solid build as what I would expect from an L lens. The price for this lens was shocking being able to afford to purchase this lens at almost half of the retail price. All of my favorite lens are 77 mm which makes it really convenient when I need a filter as I am able to share my filters between all of those lenses. The ebay listing was great. The seller was great to work with.

Canon EF 400mm f/2.8 L IS USM Lens
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I haven't taken that many photos with this yet and still plan to get down to the beach to capture both long board and short board surfers as well as looking forward to heading out to Vandenberg to chronicle rocket launches, perhaps some birding, and then some. What few photos I have taken seem to be very sharp and the lens is very responsive. My only concern is the weight. Definitely requires a good quality and stout tripod and/or maybe a gimbal head too? This was a pretty extreme purchase for me, but I have to admit that I've been curious for a long time about this lens. Maybe the II would be a little lighter, but I imagine it is pretty hefty in weight as well. I got this lens at what I consider a reasonable cost and hopefully will get my money's worth out of it, maybe even share it with my local camera club?

Canon EF 14 mm f/2.8 II USM lens
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I can't compare this with the previous version of this lens as I have never used it, but this seems to be well contructed as is typical of an L lens and is very sharp. Granted I didn't pay full price for this lens, but obtained at a great price. I haven't done large amounts of photos in this format, but I am definitely looking forward to exploring this more now that I have this lens.
