Thin, bendy and no grip.
Yeah, I was never going to get quality at this price, but really, these are bad. Another review indicates that they would be good for picking up stamps, and I cannot disagree with that, but anything more and they will just bend. The angled pair, straight from the packaging did not touch at the tip, but with a small amount of finger pressure, I could align them up. None of the tips have any sort of serrated grip, so good for delicate stuff, not too good if you need to get a grip on something. Which makes them useless for the suggested jewellery or electrical repair. So, stamps, butterfly collections, they may suffice, anything else, they will perform miserably.
Risk it if you dare!

In depth, but very academic
If you want to know all about Robert Stephenson's iconic locomotive, there is no better book than this one. However, the other side of the coin is that it is a dry academic report and not a book with a compelling narative. I would not talk anyone out of buying it, as I am delighted to own it and it is invaluable to me, but very hard going with flipping back and forth for images and references. If you find that offputting you may want to look for the new book that looks like a car repair manual, as that lifts a lot from this book but looks to make it more accessable.
Also be warned, this title is in need of a reprint, and some of the prices out there reflect the rarity of this work, and look to exploit that, so shop around.

Flatpack kit saves on packaging
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich It tickled me as it came as a kit you have to assemble, which I approve of, as it used less packaging than if it came assembled. Once together, it was rigid and solid, and it is doing the job it is meant to do, so I applaud the design concept.
