Susan Bates and Aero Bernat are my favorite brand of knitting needles.
I have tried many brands of knitting needles over the years I've been knitting, and these along with the Aero Bernat needles are my very favorite. It is hard to tell the two brands apart without looking at the knobs with the sizes/brands on them. I tend to knit on the tight side. The surface of these needles are more slick than some, but not as slick as the all aluminum ones. The surface holds up better than the aluminum ones too. The aluminum color coating wears off after a while. I do like the bamboo needles too, however, it can be harder to slide my snug stitching across them. My old needle case is filled with these two brands... more Susan Bates than Aero Bernat. I question if the Aero Bernat are still being manufactured.

Camera Battery Charger
A great charger for use when away from home. That is why it was purchased. Charged a brand new battery in less than an hour while driving. Have not tried in with 110 power but should be even faster. It is small so it fits in the camera bag nicely and it is a great addition to our camera gear.

Lining a Miniature Horse breastcollar
This leather was exactly what I wanted. It is of a soft makeup with enough body to line the thick leather harness breastcollar piece without getting wrinkles. It was also easy to work with when hand sewing, though I did use a sharp awl to pierce the leather. I am very pleased with the outcome of my project. I also used one of the leftover pieces to repair a braided rope dog collar in three places where it had been chewed. I used metal clamps to hold the leather after I wrapped it around the rope. I then was able to hand stitch the leather around the spliced areas and stitch it, pulling the leather tightly. It looks nice and, will hold up for many more uses as long as I keep dog teeth away from the area.
