Rover 75 aftermarket keyfob
The exterior appearance of the fob is good. The problem is internal and concerns the rubber 'matrix' moulding connecting the buttons. When I inserted my existing circuit and closed up the fob I found that the Closed button was permanently pressed, thus the car locks wouldn't open. There appeared to be a combination of 2 problems with the rubber matrix being too high were it was badly 'welded' / 'melted' into position thus raised up too far and causing the circuit to sit unevenly and make too firm a contact with one of the button protrusions inside. When the high spot was carefully scalpelled away, the fob reassembled and tested, I found that the Closed button was now constantly on. I removed the circuit again, shortened the rubber fob button protrusion inside, reassembled the fob I got it working. At this point I would only deem it suitable to be used as my spare key from now on. I hope some of this makes sense and may be more easily understood by someone who has encountered the same general type of problem with this replacement fob.

Silencer fitting
Quality product with quick delivery. Well made, good fit, seems as though it will last for at least 3 years. Its a pity these replacement parts in general don't come with the option of a gasket and 2 stainless bolts to further facilitate ease of fitting.
