Great for the price
The unit I received both transmitted and received clearly, and the recessed push -to -talk button was a nice touch. It is not easily pushed accidentally, and has a distinct "click" feel. Fits under ear defenders, and type of helmet or hat. Works with my Baofeng

Alright (for the money) But......
Tough, rigid, and really hangs on to your belt. Unfortunately it doesn't hang on to my double stack 9mm magazines worth a hoot. They can be modified by using furniture gripper pads inside the holder, but it should have an adjustment so that this is unnecessary. It is inexpensive enough that I do not mind, and I will find a use for it, but I did end up buying another product that works better. I like Blackhawk! gear in general, and their holsters and panels and accessories have been super, which is partly why I am so disappointed in this item.
If I had to do it again, I'd save and buy a bit more expensive, but better retention system.

Inexpensive quality
I actually bought it to mount an omnivore holster on the right. Rig was like new, the swap went well and inexpensive. Excellent quality
