A labour of love by Jimmy Page, and it shows

Five and a half hours of astounding performances, mainly in excellent quality. I knew JP was a superb guitarist but on this showing he’s several notches higher than I’d given him credit for. The earliest and latest recordings here show how the band developed while keeping the power and emotion of the music at stratospheric levels.

Guitar nostalgia

Bought for my dad as this is one of the first LPs we ever possessed when we had a 'radiogram'. Classic guitar tracks from when The Shadows were groundbreaking. It's a shame they turned into a 'easy listening' band later, just doing cheesy covers. Full original mono tracks along with the stereo versions (what's the point of that?).
