Lacks an Index
Detailed and informative, but the lack of an Index is a marked drawback, hindering cross-referencing and re-reading in such a complex topic.

A good copy of a vital work.
Runciman has long been a favoured historian in this household, so much so that the attention paid to his trilogy on the Crusades has resulted in a need to replace the volumes on my shelves with less battered ones. Hence my order. Vol.2 has now reached me and I am more than satisfied with the physical condition of the book, a little sun-kissed, perhaps but coherent and readily readable.

A recommended kit.
A well-presented kit with generally clear diagrams. Some slight difficulty gauging the length of the tracks accurately. (Some authorities dispute the notion that Soviet era tanks had sagging tracks.) a little more help with the colour scheme(s) would have been useful. Delivery prompt despite the difficulties of the festive season.
