Wonderful Concert.
Great PBS-produced the concert. I also have part 2, buy them while you can, in fact, the whole PBS Doo Wop series, including the 60's concerts also, all of them are well done, sound great, and well artist of supreme talent and groups not seen in years. Just fun to watch and sing along to. They sing live. no lip-syncing, pro tools to make them sound good.

History of R & B one of the best box sets ever!
It's a great collection, I had this box set before then sold it after finding the 24-bit remaster version from Japan. The newer version is much cleaner sounding and detailed, but after having owned the LP set also, I felt the older version had more of the tube sound that was used back in those days late 40's-1960's. So I took the chance and purchased this box set, and yes, it does sound like I remember it and I am happy I own it, on the musical side you have a history of a great R&B label and 203 hits from 4 ERAs of R & B. by some of the most talent names in music history, If you love music but don't own a set of this release your missing out on some great music all on 8 CDs. The Japanese release had 10 CDs 2 more than this set. However, the extra CDs were more rarities.
