This EXPENSIVE SONY Bluray player will not play standard DVDs .. The player Constantly turned itself off 2 seconds after turning it on, I contacted SONY Technical assistance they could not help .. in fact 3 Tech assistants had no clue why this was happening eventually I solved the issue myself by turning on quick start on the player .. also No sound on some discs , I have to open and close the disc tray continuously before the player recognises there is a disc in the player I presume the player will completely fail very soon as it is performing the same as the base model I purchased that stopped working with exactly the same problems. I purchased a SONY Bluetooth player last year that stopped working after 13 months and a 55"BRAVIA 4K screen replaced 13 months after purchasing SONY Actually have an option when you phone them Specifically for SONY BRAVIA TVs because of the constant catastrophic failures with the products ...
