Good product with slight modifications.
I got this product at current market value (Jan 2021) which was approximately $120. This is approximately $20 above the MSRP, but due to shortages and supply chain issues it is basically impossible to get this item at MSRP. That being said, the item works reasonably well but I don't think I would pay the premium given how this item is designed. From the factory, the sliding mechanism is plastic on 8mm metal rails and it suffers from stiction issues which makes precise movements difficult. Thankfully I own a 3D printer, and a very common modification for this item is to print a new throttle carriage that accepts LM8UU bearings. After printing this modification and applying some NyoGel 767a damping grease this product feels excellent. Throw of the throttle is heavy, smooth, and every action feels deliberate. I would recommend that purchasers of this item be aware of the stiction issue from factory, and be prepared to modify the product immediately. After minimal modification this product will serve me well for the foreseeable future.
