1986 MR2 AW11 Transmission Shift Solenoids
I had erratic shifting problems in my A/T AW11 (A240E transmission), and after ruling out just about everything, these shift solenoids prevented me from having to rebuild the tranny. My reverse still doesn't function properly without a hard rev to catch the gear, but I'm sure it's something else. All forward gears now smoothly operate after installation, with a throttle position sensor adjustment, as well as checking the timing on the engine. I'd highly suggest this purchase before rushing off to get a transmission rebuilt. The solenoids were smaller than the ones I'd removed from the transmission, but I figured I'd give it a shot anyway. They come with several different brackets, so of course you want to choose the ones that fit best, as you most likely have different hardware in yours, as mine did. The reason I chose to install them anyway, knowing that the hardware was different, is because I had prior knowledge of companies improving upon different parts such as these, so change is to be expected. An example would be fuel injectors; there are two different types for my car, and they're different sizes as well, usually to improve something for longevity's sake. Long story short: Don't knock a product until you know what it does.

1986 MR2 Window Crank
The spline adapter doesn't fit, but I was determined, so I made it fit by spending an hour filing half of the teeth off of it to make it fit. The sizing was so off that by the time I was done, only have of the teeth remained. Currently the set screws are doing most of the work. I did some damage to the window regulator trying to fit the adapter after the filingprocess. Other buyers won't be so patient or dedicated. Wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
