Nine tana leaves worth of fun...
A fab game for all lovers of the classic Universal Monster movies of the 1930's and 1940's. Handsomely made, and very playable.

The Avengers - Series 5 Optimum DVD set
4 von 5 finden das hilfreich Despite Series 5 of The Avengers being chock full of Diana Rigg classics (all in colour), and the totally restored and cleaned up picture quality on this Optimum DVD set being the best this series has ever seen; the result is infuriatingly the worst ever Series 5 release (DVD or VHS)!
The reason being that Optimum have totally cocked-up the soundtracks for every episode, on every disc in this set - which is not altogether surprising, considering so far they have had to recall and repress faulty discs on two out of three of their previous sets of The Avengers).
But previous faults only affected a few episodes - on Series 5 every disc and episode is ruined. The problem is that some technical loon at Optimum has accidentally set his sound compensation 8% too fast - with the result that every episode has Steed and co speaking in a ridiculous, sped-up, high-pitched voice. And this disastrously sped-up soundtrack is on every episode of this set (even the soundbites on the menu's have it).
Optimum are now looking into this latest disaster - but the only thing to do is to have a complete recall and a repressing of this botched Series 5 set. Which will no doubt take a while. So until Optimum re-issue a corrected version of The Avengers - Series 5, then sadly, it's a waste of money buying this faulty DVD set.
