Looks and works like orginal
One of the rubber buttons on my original fob case for my 2005 SLK had a tear/cut in it. I was concerned that dirt/moisture could get in from my finger on the button. This replaced the outer plastic and rubber button covers with no issue. Looks almost exactly like mine did other than the font on the "Panic" was slightly different. It does have the infra-red window on the end for the remote top function, (which works as poorly as it always does ;-) ) And the small dot that allows the red led indicator is clearer than mine was.
It fits much firmer into the dash, I assume mine was getting worn.

Cool Tool
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Every Dodge Challenger SHAKER should come with one of these. It is to remove the SHAKER top so you can access the oil fill cap. Basically it is a 10mm nut driver, but it has a grooved O-Ring that helps retain the Mopar Logo'd nut to help keep you from dropping it.
PLUS it says "SHAKER" on it.

Worth installing if factory integration is important.
I installed this in a 2005 Mercedes SLK350 with factory COMAND & Navigation & Sirius & Harmon Kardon audio. This enabled me to us a USB Thumb drive with tons of MP3 songs, and an iPod with audiobooks connected at the same time. The Dension Gateway will index all your MP3s and save a database on your USB drive. I can switch from music to the iPod and keep my position in both songs and books. If you already have the factory CD Changer, install is simple, 2 power wires, the Fiber Optic connection and done, all are in the same location as the Changer you are removing (or you can keep it if you really want to use 6 more CDs on topo of the head unit slot).
Documentation is sketchy, but google and bing are your friend. Also there are firmware updates as well out there. I am also adding the BTA1500 for full Bluetooth & phone integration, but that has not arrived yet.
For another $200-$400, you can get into replacing everything with much better equipment, but this device does what I needed, and could keep my existing Sirius, and full display and steering wheel controls. Track info fully displays on the radio, but not on the display in the gauge cluster, all its menus are controlled via factory CD Changer menu controls, but do have text labels. Very quirky but after 2-3 days of driving I am comfortable with probably 95% of its use.
