Abundance of sugar confections

that is entertaining and descriptive of the decorative arts
of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.
I was looking for a more substantial historical novel,
but once I accepted this book , for what it is, a light, entertaining read,
then it proved enjoyable.
This novel was suggested at an art lecture I attended about the porcelin
sculpture of Marie Antoinette.
I purchased it from ebay that night, in order to delve more
fully into the era of Marie Antoinette and to understand her perspective
of history and her place in history.
I appreciated the detailed descriptions of clothing, decor, carriages,
architecture and paintings. This book is best read as an adjunct to
the Louvre exhibits to get one in the mood for eighteenth century extravagance
at its best.

This book should be part of school curriculum.
Vastly applicable to everyday life to create ease and happiness.
